To perform symbol-footprint mapping in Altium format, follow these steps:

  1. Open Altium

  2. Go to File → New → Library → Integrated Library and create a new library.

  3. Rename the generated .LibPkg file to match the actual part name.

  4. Right-click the .LibPkg file → Add Existing to Project → select the downloaded library files.

  5. Open the Symbol (SchLib) editor.

  6. Click Panels (bottom-right) → select Properties.

  7. In the General tab, scroll down to Parameters → click Add → select Footprint from the dropdown.

  8. In the pop-up window, copy and paste the downloaded footprint file name into the Name field, then click OK.

  9. Save the symbol library.

  10. Right-click the .LibPkg file → Compile Integrated Library → click OK.
