To perform symbol-footprint mapping in PADS format, follow these steps:
Open PADS Designer.
Go to PADS Netlist → Create.
Select File → Import → Symbols
Choose the symbol file (.1) → click OK.
In the Schematic Editor, navigate to the Library Symbol View under the PADS Databook.
Search for your part and double-click it to place the symbol in the schematic.
Right-click on the placed symbol and select Properties.
Copy and paste the footprint name into the PKG_TYPE field.
