Guide on how to import symbols and footprints into Pulsonix

Follow these steps to import into Pulsonix:

Extract files to your preferred path

  1. Extract the .zip file

  2. In Pulsonix, go to Setup > Libraries

To import the symbol

  1. Click on the Schematic Symbols tab.

  2. Create a new library by clicking on New Library...

  3. Browse to your preferred folder and save the new library.

  4. Click on Import and browse to the folder where you extracted the contents from the zip file.

  5. Select the .plx file and click Open.

  6. Set the Technology to Default (White) and click OK.

To import the footprint

  1. Click on the PCB Footprints tab.

  2. Create a new library by clicking on New Library...

  3. Browse to your preferred folder and save the new library.

  4. Click on Import and browse to the folder where you extracted the contents from the zip file.

  5. Select the .plx file and click Open. (As you did for the Symbol)

  6. Set the Technology to Double Sided, check the Use Layer Mapping box, and click OK.

  7. On the new window, check the Use Mapping File box and browse to the folder where you extracted the contents from the zip file. Once there, select the layer_mapping.map file and click Open.

  8. Click OK.

To import the part

  1. Go to the Parts tab.

  2. Create a new library by clicking on New Library...

  3. Browse to your preferred folder and save the new library.

  4. Click on Import and browse to the folder where you extracted the contents from the zip file.

  5. Select the .plx file.

  6. Set technology to [None] and click OK.
