Note: we currently support TARGET3001! Versions 20 and above.

To download your symbol, footprint, and 3D model all at once, follow these steps:

  1. Open your schematic project in Target3001!

  2. Click on Import component [INS]... to open the component database.

  3. Once there, type the part number you need and click on the SnapMagic button. From there, it will redirect you to the SnapMagic search site.

  4. Select the part you want to download and click on Download Symbol and Footprint, scroll down and select TARGET3001! from the list.

  5. Once the download has finished, the part will automatically be detected by TARGET3001! and appear on your cursor to place it in the schematic. In addition to this, the part will be added under the [List] CXF SnapEDA in the component database.

What should we do if after following the previous steps the part doesn’t get automatically recognized by my TARGET3001!?

Step 1:

Make sure the download path is set in TARGET3001!. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your downloads folder on your device, right-click and select Copy as Path.

  2. In TARGET3001! Go to Settings > Settings (INI-File)...

  3. Click on …for downloads of the web browser and paste the path copied in step 1. Click OK.

Once done, go back to Components Database and check if the file has been added.

Step 2:

If after following step 1, the file doesn’t appear yet. Follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the components database, right-click on [List] CXF SnapEDA and click on Close open tab.

  2. Close the components window, close TARGET3001! and open it again.

  3. Go to the Components window, click on [List] CXF SnapEDA at the bottom left and the parts should automatically load into the list.
