Please follow these steps to link a 3D model to the footprint:

  1. From the Main 3D Menu, go to the TOOLS tab, and select the SnapMagic plugin. Log in on the incoming window.

  2. Search and download the component. For this case, the library should have an available 3D model.

  3. Ensure the 3D model at the Package tab matches the Footprints tab information. At this point, you can save the Library file by using Ctrl+S.

  4. On the Footprints tab, right-click the component’s footprint. Then, select the Attach Copy of Existing 3D Model option.

  5. On the Available Packages window that opened, please select the downloaded 3D model. Then click save on the next window.

  6. This creates a new package on the Packages tab. Open the new package by double-clicking it. Notice there’s a 3D model attached to the footprint sketch.
