Have you ever wondered how the Auto-Import button on a part page works?

The Auto-Import feature allows you to add parts directly to your CAD tool. This is currently available only for Altium, KiCad, and Eagle. In order to use it, you need to have the SnapMagic Desktop App installed and connected to your tool.

How it works:

  1. Click the Auto-Import button

  2. This will download the .snap file which will be automatically recognized by the SnapMagic Desktop app
Note: Make sure to have the app installed and opened so that it will recognize the file.

  3. Select the PCB design tool you'd like to open the downloaded part.

  4. Once selected, you will receive a notification that the part has been added to the CAD tool of your choice.

**NOTE: If the CAD tool is not opened, the SnapMagic Desktop App will automatically open it for you.
